HOW TO GET HERE
Air : The nearest international airport is Cochin International Airport Nedumbassery, at Ernakulam located 60km north from Thrissur.
Rail : The nearest railway station is at Irinjalakuda 20 km from Thrissur. Thrissur is an important railhead of the southern railway and linked to most major towns inside and outside Kerala. The railway station is about 1km south-west of the town centre and just 350 meters from the temple premises.
From the North (Road) : From Thrissur there are frequent buses to Kodungallur (40 kms- 11/2 hours). Azhikode Jetty is 6km away from Kodungallur. Buses ply every 5 minutes through this route. The shrine is a 5 min. walk along the riverside from Azhicode Jetty. From Alwaye to Kodungalloor the distance is 25kms. Pilgrims coming from Kochi can take the route via Alwaye or via Vypeen island where you should cross the river at Munambam to reach the shrine.
From the South (Road) : Buses from Alway to Kodungallur ( Distance 25 kms.) or shorter, buses arrive at Munambam across the river. Ferry boats ply every 20 minutes taking you to the shrine side.
